Lizzie represents clients in a broad range of intellectual property disputes, with an emphasis on patent litigation. She has experience litigating cases at various stages, from pre-litigation advice through to trial and appeals.

Lizzie advocates for her clients with an eye towards the technical. She loves diving methodically into every detail and fact about her cases. She treats each one as an opportunity to learn about a new field or industry.

Lizzie has worked on cases at various stages in litigation, including appeals. Among other things, she has helped to obtain early dismissal of cases following successful motion practice, prepared technical expert witnesses for depositions and trial, and drafted appeal briefs. Lizzie also co-wrote an article for the Judicial Council of the Ninth Circuit’s Trial Improvement Committee that discusses the intersection of artificial intelligence and the law, particularly emerging generative artificial intelligence technologies.

Prior to joining KBL, Lizzie practiced in the intellectual property and commercial litigation group at a top litigation boutique. During law school, Lizzie served as a law clerk for the East Bay Community Law Center in the Consumer Justice Group. Additionally, Lizzie served as Executive Editor of the California Law Review and Development Editor of the Asian American Law Journal.

In her free time, she enjoys walking her cats on leashes and training them to perform tricks, bouldering, and tinkering on her self-built gaming PC.
